ECG was a key golden sponsor of a conference titled “Future of Energy in Egypt: Vision & Urgent Solutions” held on February 17th, 2015 at the Cairo Marriott Hotel in Zamalek area. The event was organised by the construction committee of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), as well as Al-Ahram Foundation.
The event, held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, witnessed the attendance of a number of ministers concerned with the future of energy in Egypt. A number of Egyptian and foreign businessmen and consultants also attended the conference.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the role of financial institutions in establishing energy investments, as well as the possibility of benefiting from the experience of other countries in this field, especially the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Germany and China. Obstacles faced by private sector firms attempting to invest in energy projects were also discussed as part of the conference proceedings.
A number of ECG representatives had a strong presence at the event, led by Mr. Amr Allouba, ECG Chairman; Mr. Ahmed ElSayed, ECG Vice Chairman; Mr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim, ECG President & CEO; Mr. Omar ElSayed, Vice President & Head of International Operations; and Mr. Moheb Marcos, Vice President & Head of Business Development.
