On 28 March 2016, ECG Vice President & “University to Work” Project Manager Dr. Nevine AbdelKhalek attended a ceremony marking the launch of Project “Entaleq,” the first mobile application and website enabling individuals with special needs to navigate accessible places in Cairo. The project is developed by the non-profit Helm in partnership with Vodafone Egypt Foundation. The launching ceremony was attended by Minister of Communications & Information Technology Yasser Al-Kady and Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Ghada Wali.
During the ceremony, Dr. AbdelKhalek revealed that ECG is in the process of signing a cooperation protocol with Helm for a training program qualifying ECG Engineers and “University to Work” graduates to be building accessibility excellence assessors.
